There are two graduations I can participate in:
- College of Letters and Sciences (Friday, June 17, 17.00)
- Math Department (Sunday, June 19, 09.00-10.30)
I can bring about 10-15 people to each. I’d like to know both which one you would prefer and whether you cannot attend one. I’ll go to both only if there is a roughly even number who cannot attend each. Send me an email to let me know. The difference is that one is on a Friday, one on a Sunday. They will probably be about the same length. The math one will call everyone’s names. I’d prefer to go to the math one. Graduating is fun.

Hey Bri– I can come to either or both. There shouldn’t be more than 15 seats needed for both families and Sarah, I don’t think (if Jim & Lisa don’t bring the kids–let’s see: Me/Kelly/Mike & Connie/G&G D./G&G B./Sarah/Jim & Lisa…that’s 11…Whatever works for you (and your out of town folks.) Do I sense a tad bit of sarcasm in “graduation is fun…?” Hehe…

Hi Brian, Either date is okay with me. The one where they read names seems more like a “real” graduation though. Congratulations on getting done in 4 years!

Hehe, sarcasm? What sarcasm? Actually having graduated will be fun, and the actual act will not be so bad. It’s all the planning that’s less than fun.

So far Sunday is the winner. By the way, if your comments don’t automatically show up it’s because I moderate comments on this site since a fair number of comments are just spam (if you have a previously approved comment, yours will go through immediately).
Jim and Lisa offered to have the ‘festivities’ at their place, which is in Fullerton (unless my address book is out of date). I’ll send out another email once I know who is interested and when it’s happening.

we vote for sunday as friday in westwood is a traffic nightmare. 9am?? where is it going to be on ucla campus? Jim’s house sounds pretty good to have the afterbirth although it is pretty far from ucla. we could have it here in glendale is you want to keep it closer in. i can’t believe we actually figured out how to get on this web or blog whatever it is. we are wondering if you will actually get this reply.

I just emailed Jim and Lisa about having the festivities at their place. The graduation ends at 10.30, so perhaps a get-together lunch makes more sense than a dinner. Preferences? Comments? Suggestions?

So you know, I’ll be attending the graduation on the 19th.
